Online Casinos

  1. How do I choose a safe online casino?
When choosing a safe online casino look for the following:
  • A valid gambling license from a recognised authority such as the UKGC, MGA or Curaçao
  • SSL encryption to protect your personal and financial data
  • A proven track record of paying players fairly and on time
  • Responsible gambling tools such as deposit limits and self exclusion
  • Positive player reviews on independent review platforms
  • Fair and transparent bonus terms and conditions

2. What is a gambling license and why does it matter? A gambling license is an official permit issued by a regulatory authority that allows a casino to operate legally. Licensed casinos must meet strict standards for player protection, fair gaming and financial security. Always check that a casino is licensed before registering or depositing money.

3. Which gambling licenses are the most trusted? The most respected gambling licenses are:

  • UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) — United Kingdom
  • Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) — Malta, Europe
  • Gibraltar Regulatory Authority — Gibraltar
  • Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission — Isle of Man
  • Curaçao eGaming — Curaçao

4. What is SSL encryption at online casinos? SSL stands for Secure Sockets Layer. It is a security technology that encrypts data transmitted between your browser and the casino website. You can identify SSL encryption by looking for the padlock icon in your browser address bar and the HTTPS prefix in the website URL. Always ensure a casino uses SSL encryption before entering any personal or financial information.

5. How do I know if an online casino is rigged? Licensed and reputable online casinos use Random Number Generator (RNG) technology that is independently tested and certified by third party auditors such as eCOGRA, iTech Labs or GLI. This ensures that all game outcomes are genuinely random and fair. Always choose casinos that display their RNG certification and have their games regularly audited.

6. What is the house edge? The house edge is the mathematical advantage that a casino has over players in any given game. It represents the percentage of each bet that the casino expects to retain over the long term. For example a house edge of 2% means the casino expects to keep £2 for every £100 wagered on average. The house edge varies between games — blackjack typically has a low house edge while slots can have a higher house edge.

7. What is RTP? RTP stands for Return to Player. It is expressed as a percentage and represents the theoretical amount a game pays back to players over a large number of spins or hands. For example a slot with an RTP of 96% will theoretically return £96 for every £100 wagered over time. A higher RTP generally means better value for the player.

8. Are online casinos legal? Online gambling laws vary significantly between countries and regions. In many countries online gambling is fully legal and regulated. In others it may be restricted or prohibited. It is your responsibility to check whether online gambling is legal in your jurisdiction before playing. AllWin Poker does not provide legal advice.

Casino Bonuses

  1. What is a welcome bonus? A welcome bonus is a promotional offer given to new players when they register and make their first deposit at an online casino. The most common type is a deposit match bonus where the casino matches your deposit by a set percentage up to a maximum amount. For example a 100% match bonus up to £200 means if you deposit £200 the casino will give you an additional £200 in bonus funds.
  2. What are wagering requirements? Wagering requirements also known as playthrough requirements specify how many times you must wager your bonus amount before you can withdraw any winnings derived from the bonus. For example a £100 bonus with a 30x wagering requirement means you must wager £3000 before withdrawing bonus winnings. Always read the wagering requirements carefully before claiming any bonus.
  3. What is a no deposit bonus? A no deposit bonus is a bonus offered to new players that does not require a deposit to claim. It is usually a small amount of bonus funds or free spins given simply for registering an account. No deposit bonuses always come with wagering requirements and withdrawal limits.
  4. What are free spins? Free spins are bonus rounds on slot games that allow you to spin the reels without using your own money. They are commonly offered as part of welcome bonuses or ongoing promotions. Any winnings from free spins are usually subject to wagering requirements before they can be withdrawn.
  5. What is a reload bonus? A reload bonus is a bonus offered to existing players on subsequent deposits after the initial welcome bonus. It works similarly to a welcome bonus and is designed to reward player loyalty and encourage continued play.
  6. What does maximum bet mean in bonus terms? Most casino bonuses include a maximum bet restriction which limits how much you can wager per spin or hand while playing with bonus funds. Exceeding the maximum bet limit can result in your bonus and any associated winnings being voided. Always check the maximum bet terms before playing with a bonus.

Poker

  • What are the basic poker hand rankings? From highest to lowest the standard poker hand rankings are:
  1. Royal Flush
  2. Straight Flush
  3. Four of a Kind
  4. Full House
  5. Flush
  6. Straight
  7. Three of a Kind
  8. Two Pair
  9. One Pair
  10. High Card
  • What is Texas Hold’em poker? Texas Hold’em is the most popular form of poker played worldwide. Each player is dealt two private cards known as hole cards and five community cards are dealt face up on the table. Players use any combination of their hole cards and the community cards to make the best possible five card hand.
  • What is the difference between cash games and tournaments? In a cash game you play with real money chips and can join or leave the table at any time. In a tournament you pay a fixed buy-in and receive tournament chips. Play continues until one player has all the chips with prizes paid to the top finishers. Tournaments have a fixed start time and end when all players except the winner are eliminated.
  • What is bluffing in poker? Bluffing is the act of betting or raising with a weak hand to convince your opponents that you have a stronger hand and force them to fold. Bluffing is a fundamental part of poker strategy but should be used selectively and in the right situations.
  • What is bankroll management in poker? Bankroll management refers to the practice of managing your poker funds responsibly to minimise the risk of going broke. Good bankroll management involves only playing at stakes appropriate to the size of your bankroll and never risking more than you can afford to lose.

Roulette

  1. What are the different types of roulette? The three main types of roulette are:
  • European Roulette — single zero wheel, house edge of 2.7%
  • American Roulette — double zero wheel, higher house edge of 5.26%
  • French Roulette — single zero wheel with La Partage rule, lowest house edge of 1.35%

European and French roulette offer better odds for players than American roulette.

2. What is the difference between inside and outside bets in roulette? Inside bets are placed on specific numbers or small groups of numbers on the roulette layout. They offer higher payouts but lower probability of winning. Outside bets are placed on larger groups of numbers such as red or black, odd or even, or high or low. They offer lower payouts but higher probability of winning.

3. What is the La Partage rule in roulette? The La Partage rule applies in French roulette. If the ball lands on zero and you have placed an even money outside bet such as red or black you receive half your bet back. This reduces the house edge on even money bets to just 1.35% making French roulette the best version of the game for players.

In the UK GamStop allows you to self exclude from all UKGC licensed gambling sites simultaneously. Self exclusion is a powerful tool for anyone who feels their gambling is becoming a problem.
  2. What is the minimum gambling age? The minimum legal gambling age varies by country and jurisdiction. In the United Kingdom and most of Europe the minimum age is 18 years. In some US states the minimum age may be 21. Always check the legal gambling age in your jurisdiction before accessing any gambling services.
